Phenol & Steroids
Kaylee has been in so much pain due her hips that she went in to Shriner's OR to get phenol and steroids injected into her hips, which is also really, really, REALLY painful! That is the reason that she had to go under anesthesia for the procedure. While at the OR her blood pressure went down to 60 and she desaturated to 82%, a 10-15 minute procedure became an almost 3 hour ordeal.
Thank heavens she is doing great, no more pain (for now), and she is kicking her legs out again.
